Purchasing additional trash or recycle containers

If you would like to purchase additional Trash or Recycle Containers, please click here to fill out the form.  You can then mail it to the Mayor's Office at 6045 Fenton, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127 along with the payment.  Containers can also be purchased by returning the form in person to the Mayor's Office Monday - Thursday, 8 am -5 pm.

Trash and Recycling containers should be placed between the sidewalk and the street.  Placement can either be in the apron/approach or on the grass.  Carts should NOT be on the street.  Carts that are on the street will be placed back onto the homeowners property.

Yard waste season will start on April 5th and will end the second week of December.

Holiday Pickup Information: 
The following holidays will affect trash pick up for 2021

  • Memorial Day (Monday, May 31, 2021) -  Trash collection will be behind one day all week and will be picked up through Saturday, June 5th.
  • Labor Day (Monday, September 6, 2021) . Trash collection will be behind one day all week and will be picked up through Saturday, September 11th.
  • Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 25, 2021) . Trash collection will be behind one day after the holiday (Thursday & Friday pickups) and will be picked up through Saturday, November 27th.

Wayne County Household Hazardous Waste Drop Off Days: 
Please check back later in the Spring for a schedule of events from Wayne County once announced.

Construction Information:

Residents affected by water outages will be notified prior to water shutoffs.
