Election and Voting Information
The City Clerk's Office conducts local, state and federal elections. Individuals wishing to register to vote may do so by coming to the Clerk's Office during normal business hours. To register by mail, complete this form and return it to the Clerk's office. You must vote in person the first time after registering by mail. The exception to this law is if you are over 60 years of age. If so, you may apply for an absentee ballot by contacting our office or complete this form and return it to the Clerk's office.. To be eligible to vote in any upcoming election, you must register at least thirty days prior to the election date.

City Council Information
All City Council meetings are scheduled through and prepared by the Council Secretary in the City Clerk's Office. Any inquiries of City Council members may be directed to the City Clerk's Office. These inquiries will then be forwarded to the appropriate City Council member(s).

Business Licenses
All business licenses are issued by the City Clerk's Office. It is advisable to contact the office regarding licensing information as soon as possible prior to opening a Dearborn Heights business.

Pet Licenses
All dogs and cats must be licensed. Fees are $7.00 annually for all non-neutered animals and $5.00 annually for neutered animals. If your dog or cat is not licensed, you risk having your pet picked up by the Animal Control Division and facing a fine and/or other charges. Your pet must have an up to date rabies vaccination. You may license by mail by printing and filling out the application.

Please furnish a copy of rabies vaccination and enclose a check made payable to "City of Dearborn Heights." Your license and animal tag will be mailed to you.
