The Summer Reading Program Spelling Bee ended with the finale on August 5th. The competitors who were winners of each of the six bees included Jonathan Apfel, Sarah Cagle, Cameron Kabacinski, Danial Khan, Araslan Khan, and Jacquelyn Roterman.The winner of the finale and our grand prize recipient of a $100.00 gift certificate to Borders Books went to Danial Khan.Danial is seen here with Michael Wrona, Supervising Librarian; Janet Badalow, Dearborn Heights Councilperson and member of the Kiwanis club and Margaret M. Van Houten, Dearborn Heights Councilperson and President of the Kiwanis club.Many thanks to the Janet Badalow and the members of the Kiwanis club for their sponsorship of this annual library event. 


Introducing JFK, Jr.'s NEW BLOG!!! Dear Dearborn Heights is a blog dedicated to any questions our patrons might have! If you need help with research, can’t remember a book title, or have just always wondered something, we'll try our best to answer it!

To see your question answered on the blog, email your query to Annie at aauthier@ci.dearborn-heights.mi.us or stop by the library and drop it off in our Dear Dearborn Heights dropbox.  All questions posted are anonymous so that you can feel free to ask whatever you want. Remember, there’s no such thing as a stupid question!
